Home Fire Safety Visits
NFRS are currently only providing Home Fire Safety Visits to those people who urgently need one. This may mean that some members of the public may not receive a visit until a later date or may be offered a fire safety assessment over the telephone as an alternative.

Referrals for a Home Fire Safety Visit
NFRS are currently risk assessing all referrals for Home Fire Safety Visits. Under the current circumstances, visit requests may take longer to be arranged or occupiers and referrers are offered advice over the telephone as an alternative so that fire safety concerns can be discussed.
If you wish to notify us of any planned building work, or wish to send any corresponding certificates, please email these directly to FireProtection@northantsfire.gov.uk
If you are a landlord, run a business, or have any building regulation enquiries and need some specific fire safety advice (not already accessible from our website) or would like a visit please complete and submit our request a visit or obtain advice from Fire Protection form.
We can arrange visits or safety talks (which could be for educational purposes), to request a visit, please complete and submit our request a fire service visit or safety talk form.
The Freedom of Information Act 2000 stipulates that all public authorities must make certain information available to the public. It does this in two ways:
The Act covers a variety of information that could be held by a company and is not limited to just official documentation. A member of the public could request access to CCTV recordings, emails or letters received from the public. Submitting a request is not a guarantee that you will receive the information however, as there may be a legitimate reason to continue to withhold the information requested.

If you have had an incident where the fire service attended, received a Home Safety Visit at a residential property or a fire safety inspection at a commercial property, we would appreciate your feedback.
